Understanding The Patient Responsibility Error Notification

At TiQ, we recognize the importance of being aware when the invoiced amount for a session differs from the Patient Responsibility (PR) indicated in the ERA. This guide will help you quickly identify those situations so you can take appropriate action and manage your client balances efficiently.

From the Navigation Bar, select Insurance iQ

Navigate to the Insurance ERA’s tab. 

Here you can View By Line Item or View By Check. Select the view that best suits your needs.

If an ERA is returned with a PR adjustment code that exceeds the amount the client was invoiced for on the date of service, that line will be highlighted in red and display a red triangle with an exclamation mark.

Hovering over the warning error icon will reveal details, including the patient responsibility (PR) amount in the ERA and the amount the client was invoiced at the time of the service.

Open the ERA to view further details.
