Understanding Client Self Scheduling In TiQ

Self-Scheduling enables your clients to book their own appointments directly through their portal, based on the availability and appointment types you’ve configured in your user profile. This feature streamlines scheduling, providing convenience for both you and your clients.

Here is how to configure it:

Open your Profile in TiQ.

Select the Time Management tab.

Below Availability Settings, you will find Self Scheduling.

Click here to learn more about Availability Settings

Select the Service Name. This list will display the available services provided at your practice.

Add a Display Name.

NOTE: This is the name your clients will see in their portals. While you can select the same Service Name, you can not input the same Display Name for multiple services.

‍Select the Place Of Service from the dropdown.

NOTE: This drop down should include the Places Of Service that have been previously set up in the  Basic Practice Info tab within Practice Manager.

Set the Increments.

Set the Start Time and End Time. This is the time frame when you’ll be available for this service.

Select the Days in which you’ll be providing this service.

Select the + Add More button to set up more services that you are available for clients to self schedule.

IMPORTANT: When adding multiple services, the  Display Name should be unique for each service. Otherwise, you'll receive a message saying "Must be unique across self scheduling items", and it won't let you save the information.

To add a buffer of time before and after each self-scheduled event, select the time increments here.

Select Save when complete.

Once your self-scheduling setup is complete, your client will be able to see the services you are available for in the My Appointment section within their portals.

Once the event is created by the client from their portal, the event will appear on Calendar iQ and the provider will receive an email notification.

IMPORTANT: TiQ will automatically check for already scheduled events, and will remove those occupied time slots from the available times for self scheduling, preventing double booking.
