Understanding the View by Check option on the ERA Log

In this guide we walk you through the View by Check option from the Insurance ERA’s tab.

From the View By dropdown select the View by Check option.

When the View by Check option has been selected, you will now see the ERAs returned at a check level, which then expands into individual details.

On the ERA tab you have the ability to filter by ERA Status.

In the Search box, you are able to search specific data with the check level information. 

  • Payer Name
  • Check Number
  • Amount

When the View by Check  option is selected you will see the following columns containing the check level details.

These are the columns for the check level: 

Payer Name; # of Claims; Check Number; Amount; Paid Date; Received Date

When the dropdown arrow is selected, the details will expand, showing what individual ERAs are included in the check.

These are the columns for the client level:

Client; Date of Service; Proc. Code; Units; Adj Code/Amount; Charge; Allowed; Paid; Status

Check line item include the 3 dots and it will display these options:

  • Mark as Worked
  • Post to all Claims

Client line item include the 3 dots icon and it will display these options:

  • View
  • Mark as Worked
  • Post Claim
  • Archived

To view details about a specific individual ERA just select a client line item from the list on the check line item to open the ERA.
