Understanding The Event Settings Tab In Practice Manager

In TiQ, you have the ability to customize the default TiQ Event Names to better match the event types offered by your practice. In this guide, you’ll learn how to add custom names to these events, and where these custom names will show up.

The default TiQ event names are:

- Assessment (Intake)
- Individual Session
- Group Session
- Couple Session
- Family Session
- Treatment Review
- Medication Intake
- Medication Management
- Anger Management
- Team Case Collab
- Supervision Meeting
- Internal Team Meeting

NOTE: only users with Practice Manager permission enabled will have access to edit these settings.

IMPORTANT: The Custom Event Name will appear as the event name to both users and clients

From the Navigation Bar, select Practice Manager.

In Practice Manager, navigate to the Event Settings tab.

Once you access the Event Settings tab, you’ll see several boxes containing the default TiQ event names, and within those boxes an area where you would be able to add a custom display name for each event type.

Type in the custom event name that you would like to add for each event:

When you have completed adding the custom event name, scroll down to the bottom of the page and select Submit to save the changes.

The custom event name you added will now be available when creating new events, in the Services Setup section in Practice Manager, in Forms Library, Clinical Forms and Documentation

You also have the option to create custom event types instead of using the default TiQ event types and rename them. To do so, navigate to the Custom Event Configuration section within the Event Settings tab.

From there, you can add custom events and set a custom event name for them.

To add more custom events for your practice, select the + New Event Type button.

Select Submit at the bottom of the page to save all the changes.

When attempting to edit a custom event name that was already added to a service from the Services Setup, you’ll see the following pop-up message.

IMPORTANT: if your practice does not offer a particular event type you have the option to disable it.

To disable an event type, simply turn off the toggle right next to the event name,

When attempting to disable an event type that was already added to a service from the Services Setup, you’ll see the following pop up message.

Selecting Proceed will continue disabling the event type and it will be removed from the Service Type box in the Services Setup section. If you select Cancel, no changes will be made.

After you click Submit to confirm your request to deactivate the event, a popup will appear informing you that the event type name will be changed to "Other" and requesting confirmation to proceed.
