Understanding Subscription Seats And Role Definitions
In the Subscription tab within Practice Manager, you can add various "seats" to your subscription. This guide explains the roles associated with each seat type, helping you identify which seat to add or remove when updating your subscription.
User License / Role Definitions
Clinical Staff Allows the addition of the following roles:
Practice Owner: The owner of the practice with the ability to perform all clinical and administrative tasks.
Clinical Admin: A user who handles clinical and administrative tasks and manages other clinical team members.
Therapist: A user who performs clinical tasks but does not necessarily manage other team members.
Admin Staff Allows the addition of the following roles:
Practice Admin: A non-clinical user responsible for administrative tasks. This user may manage other non-clinical team members and handle internal insurance billing depending on the practice requirements.
Intern Staff Allows the addition of the following roles:
Clinical Intern: A student supervised by a Clinical Admin with limited permissions and access.
Support Staff Allows the addition of the following roles:
Office Manager / Support Staff: A non-administrative user who performs duties such as scheduling, payment collection, and front desk/receptionist tasks.
Outsourced 3rd Party Biller Allows the addition of the following roles:
3rd Party Biller: A limited-role user who performs outsourced billing tasks for the practice on behalf of a third-party company.
Prescription IQ Allows the addition of the following roles:
Nurse Practitioner / Prescriber: A clinical user authorized to prescribe medication. This role requires an active Prescription iQ license.
Add-On Features
When adding these seats, you can include the following features to enhance the roles described above.
Self Scheduling iQ
Conversation iQ
Insurance iQ
Video iQ
IMPORTANT: If there are no seats added for a specific add-on feature, the permission will be greyed out in the TiQ profile.
